Reverse Engineering
Reverse engineering is applied to real objects for which we lack technical information for their manufacture. We start from a Digital model created by the 3D Scanning or Digitization technique to create the 3D CAD model.
The 3D CAD model does not have the characteristics of dimensions, geometry and real functionality . The precision of the instrument used (Scanner) to generate the digital model is key to determining these characteristics. However, once the CAD model is obtained, it is necessary to carry out prior validation before being used for manufacturing. Validation should not only be dimensional, it is also functional and will depend on the application.
The format of the final 3D CAD Model is delivered in any of the following formats:
- IGES
- STEP
- PARASOLIDOS
